I have 4 years Final Cut Studio experience and can also edit with various flavours of Avid and Premiere Pro. My experience as a freelance has allowed me to work with a broad range of video formats from DVCAM to high end HDCAM, with projects often mixing several different formats. In particular I have worked with Sony’s tapeless HD formats – both XDCAM HD and XDCAM EX with Final Cut Pro. I’ve managed large-scale projects with complex media management from start to finish for both broadcast and corporate productions. I’ve edited on everything from laptops to SAN workstations equipped with Black Magic/AJA video cards and various VTRs. The expertise which really puts me above the average editor is my technical know-how of video codecs, formats, colour spaces and overall computer wizardry! As an editor I have strong narrative skills, providing creative editing with attention to detail and mood. I’m used to cutting autonomously and have the full complement of skills – compositing, keying, VFX, graphics re-purposing, voice-over recording and export/compression.
